Job overview:

Responsible for assisting with the month end close process, working with various stakeholders (both internal and outsourced) to achieve timely and accurate results and utilizing technical accounting skills to ensure that transactions are appropriately accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Position Summary.

  • Manage daily accounting operations to ensure the accuracy of general ledger. Review flux and trend analyses of financial statements data monthly.
  • Responsible for month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations. Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to determine the proper accounting treatment of business transactions and resolve any aging items.
  • Support internal and external audits, as well as external reporting activities.
  • Assess current SOX controls to ensure adequacy. Identify and implement any new controls on existing or new processes, including updating/creating process documentation, collaborating with business process owners, etc.
  • Review complex and unusual transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Assist with merger and acquisition accounting and integration.
  • Lead ad hoc projects and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related Business discipline
  • 4-9 years of related experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Systems aptitude with strong Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed CPA
  • Industry / Corporate Accounting experience
  • Experience in Public Accounting
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software
  • Experience with Oracle ERP and SAP Business Objects.
  • Experience in supporting an outsourced relationship
