Full Job Description

We are actively hiring for a Senior Accountant. Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals.

We are looking for motivated, innovative individuals, who think big and move fast with a passion for service excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Principal accounting person supporting our reinsurance program, consisting of ceded and assumed agreements of both quota share and excess of loss.

  • Engage in the month end close process by preparing journal entries and reconciliations.

  • Prepare quarterly Schedule F reinsurance documentation.

  • Collaborate with external reinsurance brokers.

  • Interact with external auditors during quarter/year end audits.

  • Prepare and/or review portions of the Statutory Annual Statements and Audited Financial Statements and supporting footnotes schedules /financial data, including Schedule F and reinsurance footnotes.

  • Act as a lead for special projects as needed.

What would make us excited about you

  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

  • 2 years of public accounting firm experience and 5-7 years related experience.

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis on Business Administration, Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.

  • You have the ability to interact and work with a diverse group of individuals at various levels throughout the organization.

  • Insurance experience a plus!

  • You can work independently in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple tasks simultaneously and meet urgently important due dates.

In compliance of Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado. If performed in Colorado, this position has a(n) salary range of $80,750-$95,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.
