This position will be responsible for the month-end close process of assigned associations, ensuring that the balance sheet accounts are free from material misstatements, fairly represent its financial position and that tight deadlines are met. In addition, the candidate will review financial results and provide communication to management. At times the candidate may also be involved in special projects, ad-hoc reporting and other requests from sales, marketing, corporate, resort management and/or finance. The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, be flexible and organized, and communicate in a clear and concise manner is extremely important.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform month-end close duties to ensure that all deadlines are met
Complete reconciliations, assisting with the research and the resolution of variances
Prepare and maintain resort properties’ financial reports and supporting documentation
Assist with forecasting and budgeting
Collect and provide information for external auditors for the HOA’s
Performs other duties as needed
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting)
Knowledge and skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Strong initiative, flexibility and the ability to thrive in a deadline oriented atmosphere.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work both independently and with peers.
Strong PC skills, particularly with MS Office and Excel.
PeopleSoft experience a plus.
1 - 3 years’ experience in creating journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
