Position
Staff Accountant, Land Accounting & Treasury
Location
Dallas, Texas
Reporting Relationships
Reports to Senior Accountant, Land Accounting & Treasury
Key Responsibilities
Support the Senior Accountant responsible for the Land and Resource Management segment of the business.
Prepare and record monthly surface, lease, easement, and material sales revenue (SLEM)
Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements, general ledger account reconciliations, and journal entries
Review, investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities as they arise.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analyses.
Prepare daily Treasury reporting.
Assist in daily cash forecasting and transactions.
Prepare oil and gas royalty and SLEM related cash deposits.
Develop relationships across the organization to facilitate information sharing and proper accounting for transactions.
Maintain complete and accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP.
Familiarize oneself with the company’s legal entities and overall business.
Position Requirements
GAAP familiarity, in-depth and current
1-2 years of accounting experience preferred

Education, Experience, & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Current CPA or working toward CPA preferred
Oil & Gas experience preferred
