Senior Staff Accountant

Job Summary: 

The Senior Staff Accountant will handle key responsibilities in the accounting and finance department. You will show experience in working with reconciliations, accounts payable, financial analysis, and will show a demonstrated knowledge in working with QuickBooks. This role is crucial in contributing to the overall success of Gravity.

Responsibilities and Duties:
* Perform daily cash reconciliations and collections reporting, including posting of cash receipts to QuickBooks.
* Process daily / weekly accounts payable
* Manage and train a team of staff accountants
* Create, prepare, and update supporting schedules and reconciliations required for the month-end financial statement close process
* Assist with inventory management including month-end and mid-month cycle counts
* Perform cost analysis and review of invoices to confirm appropriate pricing
* Assist with other accounting and finance functions as necessary
* Required Skills and Abilities:
* Experience in operational accounting close work, performing data review and calculation of technical results
* Working knowledge in general ledger systems
* Must have good working knowledge of US GAAP accounting
* Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and complex formulas

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.
* 3 or more years of applicable work experience; preferably with exposure to general ledger, month-end close and reconciliation in an ERP environment.
* Advanced Excel skills required, along with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
