About Us:Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motorsport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment.
Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, HDPE, and PP.
About the Role:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of key general ledger accounts, including leases, construction in progress (CIP), fixed assets, and various tax-related accounts. This role coordinates some income tax related requests for three entities and actively participates in the annual financial audit process.
The Staff Accountant also supports the preparation of budgets and forecasts for fixed asset depreciation, working closely with facility director to gather required information. In addition, this role serves as the backup administrator for Cognos consolidation software.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
CIP and Fixed Asset Accounting
* Collaborate with capital project owners to track and review capital expenditures and execute project completion.
* Prepare account reconciliations and record depreciation entries.
* Maintain fixed asset and software tracking in Sage, including asset additions, disposals, and transfers.
* Participate in CIP and fixed asset forecasting and budgeting processes.
Lease Accounting
* Prepare monthly lease accounting entries for four entities using LeaseQuery.
* Create, modify, and maintain lease records for four entities in LeaseQuery.
* Prepare quarter-end lease reporting for DIVA reporting to Japan.
Audit Support
* Assist external auditors by providing required documentation and explanations.
* Support the preparation of financial statement footnotes.
Tax Compliance
* Prepare sales & use tax & property tax returns for several states.
* Coordinate with U.S. entities on income tax and transfer pricing–related requests from the CPA firm.
* Prepare sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings and tax returns.
Month-End and Year-End Close
* Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
* Prepare use tax accrual, depreciation and CIP transfer to fixed asset, CIP reconciliation, lease account reconciliation and other assigned ME and YE closing tasks.
Other Duties
* Be open to and support ad hoc requests and special projects as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
* CPA designation or prior experience in audit or tax is a plus.
* Minimum of three years of experience in general ledger accounting or a related role, with a versatile accounting skill set.
* Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP or IFRS.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with LeaseQuery, Sage, Cognos, and Microsoft Dynamics D365 is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Able to complete assigned tasks effective under time pressure.
* Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is a plus.
Salary range: $80k - $105k
