Purpose of this Job
The Staff Accountant’s primary role is to ensure the financial health and regulatory compliance of the organization and support strategic decision-making through accurate financial management.
Essential Duties
Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and manage the company's budget, including forecasting future financial performance and identifying potential risks.
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP or IFRS.
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, addressing any findings and implementing corrective actions.
Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and variance analysis.
Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and managing company credit cards and banking relationships.
Manage all aspects of tax planning and compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Oversee and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of VIP, MOPs, and incentive billback activities.
Address supplier accounts payable inquiries, ensuring a positive and seamless experience.
Oversee the management of Encompass dashboards, including the development and maintenance of new and existing report modules.
Manage the reporting of incentive programs and monthly/quarterly bonuses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial reporting and analysis.

Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Compensation
$60,000 - $70,000 / Year, paid Bi-Weekly

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems; strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Valid driver’s license
Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
Must be at least 21 years old
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Additional language skills an advantage
Physical Requirements
Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of inventory as needed.
Employee is occasionally required to drive, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
Employee frequently is required to walk and sit.
