This position works a hybrid schedule at our East Point location.
Who We Are:
The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people, and big ideas needed so that no one worries about where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters, and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
About the Role:
The Staff Accountant II supports the organization’s accounting operations through general ledger management, reconciliations, financial reporting, and grant compliance reporting. This role is responsible for month-end close activities, account analysis, and supporting government and tax credit reporting requirements while partnering with departments across the organization.

Accounting
What You’ll Do:
General Ledger Administration:
Maintain expense allocations.
Balance sheet reconciliation and analysis.
Record bank transactions or reconcile bank accounts.
Prepare journal entries.
Prepare or support monthly financial statements
Grant Accounting and Reporting:
Prepare monthly or quarterly reports for various government grants.
Prepare monthly submission reports for government grant draws.
Produce periodic reports for tax credit financing compliance.
Prepare annual compliance reports for tax credit financing stakeholders.
Provides Support to Other Departments:
Prepares and distributes monthly reports to assigned Departments.
Account analysis and research to provide information to Departments as needed.

What You’ll Need: Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience working with GAAP
Demonstrated experience using Excel for reporting, exports, schedules, and data analysis
Demonstrated experience problem solving and analysis
Demonstrated experience in working with government or banking compliance reports
