As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of a growing behavioral health organization. From maintaining accurate financial records to supporting payroll and ensuring compliance, your work directly supports the operational and clinical teams delivering life-changing services.
You’ll help bring clarity to complexity, ensuring that financial data is accurate, timely, and actionable so leadership can make informed decisions that drive growth, stability, and impact.
How You’ll Make an Impact
* Keep our financial foundation strong: Maintain accurate general ledger activity and ensure proper classification of transactions
* Drive accuracy and accountability: Perform reconciliations across accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
* Support critical reporting cycles: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and variance analysis
* Ensure payroll continuity: Serve as backup for payroll administration, validating timekeeping, and supporting bi-weekly payroll processing
* Monitor financial performance: Track expenses, support budgeting alignment, and provide insights to leadership
* Maintain audit readiness: Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with financial standards
* Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with HR, Operations, and Finance to align financial data with workforce and operational activity
What You’ll Own & Elevate
* General ledger entries and account reconciliations
* Month-end and year-end close support
* Accounts payable processing and vendor reconciliation
* Accounts receivable tracking and revenue support
* Expense allocation across departments and cost centers
* Payroll backup support, including timekeeping validation and compliance checks
* Financial reporting support and ad hoc analysis
* Internal controls, audit preparation, and compliance with GAAP

What You Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 2–4 years of accounting experience (required)
* Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or service-based industries (preferred)
* Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
* Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Experience supporting payroll processes (preferred)
* Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
