FIJI Water is seeking a Staff Accountant to support both domestic and international accounting operations. As a key member of the Accounting team, this role will be responsible for executing core accounting functions, including assisting with the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, performing general ledger reconciliations and analysis, and supporting various accounting workflows.
This position will also play an active role in the year-end audit by preparing audit PBCs, as well as partnering with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment and committed to driving process improvements and operational efficiencies. This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Job Description
Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, including drafting SOPs
Support monthly financial reporting and track key A/R and A/P performance metrics (KPIs)
Assist with year-end audit activities, including preparation of audit schedules and PBC requests for both consolidated and statutory audits
Prepare and consolidate bi-weekly cash reporting for Treasury and executive leadership; assist with annual FBAR reporting
Provide support on ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed
Support the ERP system implementation transition from Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion, including data validation, testing, and process documentation
Prepare and file various government reports, including city compliance filings, property tax returns, and required surveys
Collaborate with business partners across multiple business units to prepare intercompany billings and quarterly intercompany confirmations
Assist with quarterly ASC 842 lease completeness testing
Proactively identify and implement process improvements within the Accounting function
Support cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, and monitoring of standard vs. actual costs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Solid understanding of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP)
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) with the ability to leverage tools and technology to improve efficiency
Experience with Oracle EBS or Fusion is preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate both accounting and operational responsibilities
Proactive in identifying, resolving, and clearly communicating issues
Pay Range: $70,000-$80,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
