Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for tax and compliance with all federal, state and local regulations for our multi-entity company. You will prepare, submit and manage all tax statements and returns.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:
Tax Preparation, Compliance & Filing: Prepare and file accurate monthly, quarterly and annual state and federal tax filings and returns.
Tax Calculation: Compute taxes owed, prepare tax provisions to calculate tax liabilities, forecast future tax calculations.
Strategic Tax Planning, Compliance and Research: Research tax laws, identify tax-saving opportunities, provide recommendations to reduce tax liability. Find solutions and make recommendations to manage liabilities.
Audit Support: Assist in Company tax and compliance audits.
Compliance & Research: Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities. Making recommendations to senior leadership toward strategy to minimize tax liabilities and risk.
Financial Analysis and Planning: Prepare and review income and expenditures, financial statements, records, etc. to ensure accurate reporting and compliance federally and in all states and localities as necessary.
Strategic Planning: Offer tax planning advice to optimize financial outcomes and improve company profits.
Documentation & Auditing: Maintain accurate, organized tax databases and assist with or represent clients during tax audits.
Required qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, Master’s degree desired
Minimum of two years’ experience in business accounting role responsible for multiple entities and states
CPA is highly desired
Proficiency in NetSuite
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
*This is an in-house role based in Dallas, TX. We are not offering a relocation package.
