Business Accountant
Austin, Texas-based advertising agency is seeking an experienced
accounting & business management professional to join the team. We are a
small company with decades in the industry & each employee is a part of our
success story.
The job is a fit for someone who:

Is trustworthy & disciplined enough for remote
work

Is confident in their abilities & willing to adapt
to the changing needs of the business
·
Has at least 7 years of full-charge accounting
experience, along with a minimum of 12 hours of college-level accounting
coursework
·
Has worked extensively with Sage 50 or other GL-based
accounting programs
·
Reconciles every aspect of the books monthly
·
Is experienced in job-costing
·
Knows how to manage day-to-day while keeping an
eye on the potential future effects of current financial decisions
·
Communicates & works well with others in the
company
The job entails all aspects of accounting and some HR,
including but not limited to:
·
AR & AP management
·
Accurate payroll submission & reporting
·
401k plan administration – including 5500 filing
·
Banking/cash flow management & reporting
·
Monthly reconciliation & preparation of
financial statements
·
Producing several different custom reports monthly
– some of which are very time-intensive
·
Multi-state payroll – setup and oversight of
reporting requirements
·
Sales tax reporting
·
Extensive year-end planning & reporting
·
Working with insurance companies & tracking policies
·
HR: onboarding & offboarding (infrequent!) and
assisting employees with 401k & insurance questions/enrollments
The job is full-time with great benefits:

Time is of the essence – looking for someone who is available to start no later than mid-March. There will be some overlap with outgoing (retiring!) finance manager to ensure a smooth transition.

monitoring multi-state payroll requirements?
