ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, entry, and payment of company invoices while maintaining organized and confidential financial records.

EDUCATION
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or a related field preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
* Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.
EXPERIENCE
* One to three years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting field required.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to learn and navigate accounting software systems.
* Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
* Ability to maintain accurate, confidential, and detailed records.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned based on staff qualifications and program development needs.
TASK EXPECTATIONS
* Receive and verify invoices and check requests.
* Accurately input and upload invoices into the accounts payable system.
* Prepare and process timely payments via checks and electronic transfers.
* Maintain vendor profiles, including proper coding, tax documentation, and banking information.
* Provide professional and courteous communication with internal staff and external vendors.
* Respond promptly to inquiries from internal departments and vendors.
* Complete related accounting tasks as assigned.
