Staff Accountant I

Responsibilities
MaxLinear is seeking a Staff Accountant I to join our team. In this role, you will focus on the following:
Balance and reconcile all assigned accounts and reports (balance sheet and P&L accounts)
Enter and maintain fixed assets for multiple entities
Organize and assist in performing fixed asset inventory count for local and overseas entities
Reconcile the sub-ledger to the general ledger
Prepare and verify journal entries and other adjustments
Assist with testing system improvements and changes
Consolidate and analyze accounting results for the company and business unit
Assist with SOX audit testing and audit requests
Work on special projects
Qualifications
Knowledge of GAAP
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot table and V-lookups)
Exposure to Sox Compliance preferred
Proactive approach with strong detail ability
Solid ability to remain organized and prioritize assigned tasks to meet deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Solid written and verbal communication skills
BS in Accounting or related + 1 year of experience
Compensation and Benefits
MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.
MaxLinear's good faith estimate starting base salary range is: $32.00 to $36.50 Hourly

The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.
