We’re searching for the next generation of innovative minds who want to shape the world and live to build. CCI is looking for an Accounting Specialist in our Lansing, Michigan region.
What You Will Do:
As Accounting Specialist, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Assists with all stages of invoice management, including but not limited to approval, entry, payment, and reconciliation.
Sends checks to the appropriate persons for signatures.
Matches checks to remittance slips, letters, W-9s, and other documents to send for payment.
Assists with per diem entry and tracking.
Performs credit card reconciliations.
Responds to Project Accountant requests (e.g., obtain a vendor, payment information, etc.) expediently.
Responds to internal employee requests regarding invoice questions.
Responds to vendor inquiries about payments.
Performs data entry into company databases, websites, and other software.
Provides administrative support, as required.
Responds to requests via phone and email.
Coordinates requests electronically.
Maintains accuracy of financial and transactional data.
Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Completes assigned and required training for this role.

What You Will Bring to the Team:
Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting.
Two (2) or more years of experience in related job field. -or-
-or- Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.
Preferred experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:
Accounting experience in the construction industry.
Experience in a ‘paperless’ environment.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
Excellent data entry skills, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to multi-task.
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
Strong mathematical skills.
Ability to work independently or as a team member.
