Description:
Responsibilities
- Month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries
- Annual budgets and ad hoc reports
- Reviewing, approving, and monitoring accounts payable and receivables
- Vendor management, including due diligence and contracting
- Tracking restricted funder grants including monthly BvA reports
- Serving as the main point of contact for client financial needs: project management support, vendor and sub-grantee contracts, reporting, auditing, and preparing 990 and related tax forms
- Operational needs: liaising with internal departments such as IT and HR/Payroll
Qualifications
Qualifying for this role means you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration and 4+ years of experience in public and nonprofit accounting. A CPA or CPA candidate is desirable. You should be proficient in the use of Excel, Office 365, QuickBooks Online and/or NetSuite, Bill.com, and banking platforms. Hands-on experience with client relations, grant management and tracking, as well as international nonprofit organizations, is preferred.
Working at Global Impact
This is a full-time position and may be fully remote, with travel to headquarters in Washington, DC for team meetings on occasion. Local employees are in a hybrid work model, with 1-4 days per month in our Washington, DC headquarters office. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $80,000 – $85,000, depending on the experience you bring. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
