Description:
Manager of Accounting Opportunity Summary: The core responsibility of the Manager of Accounting is to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the financial records of the company, specifically related to fixed assets, payroll and benefit accounting, sales tax accounting, and general accruals to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of the financial results of the Company.
Job Duties:
- Supervise, train and mentor accounting staff; assign tasks, review work, and foster professional development.
- Assist in reconciling all balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis as indicated by the monthly closing schedule.
- Assist in preparing year-end books for audit.
- Partner with FP&A, operations, and other departments to provide financial insights and support decision making.
- Drive continuous process/system efficiencies across all areas of accounting responsibility.
- Assist with system implementations, or other corporate initiatives as needed.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. 3+ years of accounting & supervising experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Spreadsheet software, accounting software, Inventory software, Internet software & Order Processing Systems.
- Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Supervisory experience.
