Chroma in McHenry is hiring directly for a full - time Cost Accountant Manager. Chroma Color Corporation is a technology-leading specialty color concentrate and color master batch supplier. Chroma Color’s extensive technical leadership and manufacturing expertise, coupled with its game-changing colorant and light management technologies, have delighted customers for over 50 years.Responsible for providing accurate and timely manufacturing cost information across the Chroma network of manufacturing sites. This includes working with the Operations and Technology teams to cost new and existing products, establishing and monitoring labor and overhead rates, monitoring and maximizing cost accumulation systems to ensure accurate output and ensuring timely inventory counts and accurate balances of inventory. The position works closely with Supply Chain & Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Technology and is a key member of Chroma’s Finance team.

DUTIES
Inventory and Costing
• Develop labor and overhead costs used in product costing and inventory valuation.
• Oversee the cost system making sure the system is reliable and properly utilized for costing of inventory.
• Review bills of materials for accuracy and update as needed
• Perform monthly cost rolls for all inventory items
• Coordinate the annual physical inventory counts of finished goods, WIP and raw materials inventory
• Cycle count administration and reporting
• Analyze and reports material variances (material, labor, overhead)
• Analyze and report all inventory adjustments
Fixed & Intangible Assets
• Update and maintain the Fixed asset system
• Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization
• Cap Ex tracking
• Fixed asset and intangible roll-forwards
Other
• Month end accruals and journal entries
• Monthly site P&L review
• Key contributor to the annual budget process
• Provide support and financial acumen to Site Leaders as needed
• Ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required
