Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the accounting department by ensuring accurate financial data, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. You’ll play a key part in managing daily accounting functions, assisting with month-end close, and providing insights that support business decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send invoices, record transactions, and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely collections.

  • Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations with accuracy and compliance.

  • Enter and maintain financial data, including journal entries, vendor invoices, credit card statements, and expense reports.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

  • Generate management and financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc basis.

  • Maintain organized financial records (physical and electronic).

  • Support payment processing and provide backup support for other accounting processes as needed.

  • Research and resolve accounting issues; escalate as necessary.

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency across accounting and reporting operations.

Job Requirements 
•    Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
•    Proven experience accounting roles, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial record-keeping.
•    Proficiency with general ledger and accrual accounting processes.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with familiarity in accounting software. Experience with Great Plains is a plus.
•    Strong analytical skills to assess financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with customers, vendors, team members, and stakeholders.
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
•    Proactive in identifying and researching issues, as well as implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
•    Adaptable and eager to learn new processes to meet changing business needs.
