We operate 19 branch locations and 13 showrooms throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

Function: As the Senior Accountant, your primary responsibility is to support the financial operations of the company by performing various accounting tasks, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. You will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial data while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements specific to the industry.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions. Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to reflect accurate financial information and support month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Assist in inventory accounting processes, including valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations, and inventory reconciliations. Collaborate with inventory control and procurement teams to ensure accurate inventory records and reconcile physical inventory counts to the general ledger.
  • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and insights to support budget development and variance analysis. Monitor budget performance and collaborate with department managers to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends. Provide insights and recommendations to management for improving financial performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in tax compliance processes, including sales tax, use tax, and corporate income tax filings. Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for tax returns and assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Support external audits and financial reviews by providing documentation, schedules, and explanations as requested by auditors. Assist in preparing audit workpapers and addressing audit findings and recommendations.

Position Requirements:
