In this role, you’ll oversee the financial operations of a portfolio of commercial properties. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience in real estate and property management, and build a strong foundation for your accounting career.

Responsibilities include:
• Coordinating rent collection from commercial tenants through various channels, including online payments, checks, and direct deposits.
• Posting payments to tenant accounts in property management software (AMSI).
• Reviewing and approving accounts payable for the assigned portfolio.
• Administering loan payments in accordance with loan agreements and payment schedules.
• Processing client distributions while complying with internal policies.
• Preparing and accurately maintaining monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting records and financial reports for the assigned property portfolio.
• Lease administration to ensure accurate and timely billing of rent/NNN and compliance with lease terms.
• Ability to calculate CAM reconciliations independently.
• Responsible for management fee invoicing and special billings.
• Conduct regular audits/reconciliations to ensure compliance with accounting standards and lease documents.
• Budgeting and forecasting with the property management team to develop and maintain accurate property accounts.
• Collaborate with team members across accounting and operations
• Providing analysis and insights to support decision-making efforts.
• Written and verbal communication with clients, tenants, and lenders.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent work experience.
• Previous accounting or finance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• General ledger experience is required.
• Must possess knowledge of both cash and accrual accounting methods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be self-motivated, highly detailed, and organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Conscientious about achieving deadlines and producing an accurate work product.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
