Description:

Summary:  The Senior Accountant will play a key role within the Common Carrier Crude Financial Reporting Team and will primarily be responsible for FERC Form 6 and Form 6Q filings for multiple companies. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Prepare annual and quarterly FERC filings, including all financial statements and footnotes.
• Effectively and efficiently communicate with various departments within the company to document accounting issues and accurately adjust FERC balances, if needed to comply with the Code of Federal Regulations.
• Upload FERC financials into Systrends reporting system.
• Support special projects or financial analysis when requested by management.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience
• Working proficiency/knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Must have strong analytical skills and exhibit an attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and proactively to identify and resolve issues
• Knowledge of SAP accounting systems

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or CPA candidate strongly preferred
• Oil and gas experience a plus

• Usually, normal office working conditions. 
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.  

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience

The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience

The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
