Essential Functions:

• Support the controller with the day-to-day operations of a busy accounting department.
• Assist in managing the financial aspects of the company and completing month-end close.
• Manage the timely filing and renewal of all necessary business licenses and permits
• Annual Property Tax filings
• Quarterly Gross Receipt filings
• Prepare daily journal entries and allocations
• Sub-ledger management and scrutiny for accuracy
• Fixed asset and depreciation management
• Multi-state Sales Tax Filings
• Balance Sheet Schedules
• Bank Account Reconciliations
• Variance Analyses
• Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports to senior-level management
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to resolve complex problems with multiple variables
• Ability to work effectively independently, accurately, and contribute to a team-oriented environment in a fast-paced and changing business climate
• Possess a high standard of business and financial ethics
• Highly organized, flexible, and detail-oriented individual who can perform and execute under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of advanced Excel practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 4-5 years of accounting experience in a corporate accounting environment ($50M+ inventory control)
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deliverables.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task.
• Strong Critical and Strategic thinking
• Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines in a high-pressure environment
