Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing and supporting the day-to-day accounting functions at PII’s subsidiary, T. Miozzi LLC, with a focus on job costing and work in-process analysis reporting and accounts payable activities for the entity’s paving operations. The position currently reports directly to the Corporate Controller and indirectly to the Vice President of Construction.
Essential Functions:
1.Vouchers AP and POs related to the Miozzi Subsidiary
2.Enters Timecards for Payroll for local site
3 Handle the monthly job cost report process with Project Managers for use in creating and updating contract
schedules and updated work-in-progress reports for internal and external use.
4. Prepare all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for construction-related operations.
5. Preparation of monthly variance analysis of actual operating results versus budgeted amounts.
6. Assist in the preparation of required work papers for annual audit.
7. Participate and generates reporting for the annual budgeting and forecasting process for construction related
revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
Requirements, Education and Experience:
1. A Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting.
2. Working knowledge of Vista/Viewpoint software application, preferred.
3. A minimum of intermediate Excel skills required.
4. A minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience with at least three (3) years of experience in a
construction or manufacturing environment.
5. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, conventions, and standards.
6. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal English communication and presentation skills
7. Legal right to work in the U. S.

Travel:
Position may require up to 5% travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of New York, and New England based on the needs of the business.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. This is mostly sedentary, outside of travel, in an office space. The abilities to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bending, or standing, as necessary, are required.
