Culinary Virtue – Restaurant Collective is seeking an Accounting Manager who thrives in entrepreneurial environments. Essential Functions
- Manage the general accounting needs of Culinary Virtue and its associated restaurant locations.
- Manage and development of Accounting Assistant position to support the needs of accounting department.
- Manage period-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and account analysis in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly cash flow projections for all restaurant operations and provide recommendations for any excess cash flow.
- Oversight of accounts payables and receivables for all restaurants.
- Oversight of payroll and overtime management for all restaurants.
- Coordinate and manage all tax compliance work throughout the year.
- Assist in the annual budget preparation process with owners and restaurant operators and review monthly budget to actual reports, investigating any significant discrepancies.
- Review and maintain financial policies and procedures for accurate and clear financial reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships and review vendor contracts to ensure terms are being adhered to. In addition, lead vendor cost analysis projects and provide recommendations for areas of potential savings.
- Provides information and support for the use in the preparation of tax returns.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Requirements and Preferences
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; or equivalent education and experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years of accounting/payroll experience.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
- Restaurant 365 experience is a plus.
- Ability to learn new software/technology platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to work in a face-paced entrepreneurial environment
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
