Accountant

AccuLynx is currently seeking a talented Accountant to join our Beloit office. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, detailed balance sheet reconciliations, processing vendor invoices and summarizing financial reports. The ideal candidate will be organized, able to prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively with all members of the team.

What You Will Do:

• Verifying approval of all vendor invoices and check requests.
• Processing vendor invoices accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental procedures; and preparing payments by verifying documentation, and processing disbursements.
• Prepare month-end journal entries
• Prepare and file state sales tax returns
• Developing and maintaining reports and files for A/P and A/R.
• Reviewing expense reports for completeness and accuracy, and process reimbursements
• Assisting Controller with month end and year end close activities.
• Summarizing current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Preparing special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Organizing and working independently on multiple assigned tasks/projects and complete assignments within specified deadlines.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate records, files and reports.
• Communicating effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and management, outside officials and agencies, and the public, expressing ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• CPA certification
• 3-5 years of accounting/AP/AR, and GAAP knowledge.
• Prior experience using integrated accounting software, or exposure to similar types of accounting software.
• Knowledge of Google Office suite
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience working with and maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
• Demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior.
• Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with all levels of the organization
