Holland Partner Group is seeking an experienced Senior GL Accountant to join our Property Accounting Team. This team supports 75+ multi-family housing properties across five states.

We are seeking a team player with a strong work ethic that offers exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent follow through. The Holland Team consists of Associates that demonstrate strong leadership, communication, team-building, and decision-making skills. The Senior GL Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting for their assigned portfolio managed by Holland Residential in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s Core Values.
  • Manage relationship between Holland Residential Accounting and the ownership accounting contact.
  • Assist with new property setups and reconciliation of prior owner aged receivables.
  • Assist with annual audits.
  • Approve monthly financial and Asset Management reporting.
  • Responsible for all Capital Improvement reporting and funding.
  • Create all monthly cash distributions to ownership entities.
  • Responsible for filing all unclaimed property and excise tax reporting.
  • Manage tax and insurance funding requirements for properties.
  • Complete general ledger monthly tracking sheets.
  • Distribute monthly and quarterly reporting to lenders.
  • Reconcile revenue and expenses of properties for sale and complete the 90-day true-up.
  • Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.
  • Conform to company apparel standards and set a positive example for all Associates.
  • Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.

Education: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.

Experience: Minimum one year property management accounting experience or two years public accounting experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong organization skills to manage and meet multiple priorities, requests, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Residential Accounting programs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with intermediate excel skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks in a complex and fast-paced operating environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Must be proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Attendance: This full-time position is exempt and requires the ability to be present and available during business hours to meet company and department needs. Additional hours or flexible schedule may be required.

This position also requires:

  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
