Riverside County's Department of Behavioral Health, seeks candidates to fill Accountant I/II vacancies. The incumbents will establish, review, revise, and maintain controls on fiscal recordkeeping functions in the Accounting of the Fiscal Services subdivision.
The department is seeking candidates with the following experience:
Experience in managing budget and operations, not limited to staffing and operating expenditures.
Experience working with executive management, program managers and administrators, program support analysts and any additional line staff.
Ability to analyze and reconcile Balance Sheets and Income Statements.
Identify discrepancies and report to upper management.
The Accountant I/II is distinguished from the Senior Accountant classification in that the latter is the advanced journey and lead level class in the series. Incumbents perform complex accounting and auditing assignments requiring an extensive technical knowledge and the exercise of a greater degree of independent judgment than the Accountant II class.
