The Global Business Solutions Accounting group is responsible for booking journal entries and preparing analysis for various business channels. The main focus of this position will be working for the Bank of America.
Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting records. Review prior months journal entries and the information sent from Finance Partner to record month end accrual revenue and expense or prepaid amortization entries.
Review contracts to ensure revenue and expense are recorded based on provided agreements.
Analyzing variance of P&L reports and account balance to check the entry completeness and reasonableness
Check the activity supports (contracts, invoices, and all related account activities) to analyze account balance to identify if there is any issues or missing data.
Timely Communicate and follow up with Finance Partner and offshore team members with questions or issues that need to be addressed
Able to answer internal/external auditors with entry or reconciliation questions or walk through process
Including process improvements or Accounting researches to identify and resolve issues while booking the entries or reconciling balance account activities
Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience.
4+ years of financial/accounting experience.
Have large ERP system experience of booking journal entries, reconciling P&L and B/S accounts, analyzing entry activities, and running financial reports
Paid attention to details and also can process large data with efficiency.
Have advanced Excel skill to process and analyze large data from database.
Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and how to apply them.
Knowledge of processes, methods and tools for maintaining accurate and thorough records of financial transactions.
Ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Have to work with offshore team and timely communicate with them for any of questions or issues.
